Job Accountabilities
As a key member of our plant team, the Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for the components of ordering and maintaining inventory on spare parts, MRO supplies, and raw materials. This is a hands-on position that will meet with the maintenance and production teams daily to support operations and manage storeroom inventories to reduce downtime and costs. Daily shop floor interaction is necessary to be successful in this position and the ideal candidate will spend a significant amount of time in the storeroom making improvements.
Specific accountabilities include the following:
o MRO and OEM spare parts management
o Storeroom organization, management and improvement
o Ordering and managing inventory of raw material for production
o Developing supplier relations and working closely with vendors
Job Requirements
Experience in a related purchasing / storeroom position - preferably in a manufacturing setting
o Demonstrated organization and leadership abilities
o Proven oral and written communication skills
o Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS inventory systems
o Passion for continuous improvement and to challenge the status quo
o Analytical skills with a history of data driven decision making
Top of PageEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
