Summary:
Responsible for planning, directing and supervising the quality control systems and procedures for gauging, sampling and inspection of all materials flowing into and out of the plant.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Functional/Relationship:
Interfaces routinely with all division functional areas as well as external customers and suppliers.
Scope/Supervision:
Contacts with other persons within departments and customers on routine and unusual matters, furnishing or obtaining factual data.
Essential Functions:
Considerable judgment to work independently toward genera results, devising new methods, modifying or adopting standard procedures to meet new conditions, making decisions based on precedent and company policy.
Plans and arranges own work, referring only unusual cases to supervisor.
Works with confidential data such as product costs or schedules which, if disclosed, might have adverse internal or minor external effect.
Required to travel between plant, suppliers and customers. Will need to report and document in detail findings and corrective actions.
Perform other quality functions in planning, SPC, problem solving and monthly reports as needed.
Must continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.

Qualifications:Able to communicate well with all levels of management and motivate them to participate in cost reductions, Parker''s Target Program and continuous quality improvement.
College graduate and/or ASQ certified engineer.
Full working knowledge of SPC.
Able to travel.
